Who this is about
Ai4Trades is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here, and you are the Data Principal, in the language of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This policy covers this website and the Ai4Trades web and mobile applications.
What we collect
- Identity and contact data you give us: name, email address, mobile number, and where required for a broker connection, the identifiers that broker needs.
- Broker connection data: which broker you connected, the client code, and the access token that authorisation produces. We do not ask for and do not want your broker login password.
- Trading configuration and activity within the platform: your watchlists, screens, chart layouts, triggers, stop losses, trailing and profit-booking rules, and the record of orders the platform transmitted on your behalf.
- Enquiry data: what you send through the contact form on this website - name, email, phone, broker and your message.
- Technical data created by use: IP address, device and browser type, pages and screens opened, timestamps, and error and diagnostic logs.
- Payment data, where a paid feature applies. Card and bank details are handled by the payment gateway, not stored by us.
What we do not collect
We do not collect or store your broker password or trading PIN. We do not have access to your bank account, and we never take custody of your funds or securities. We do not buy personal data about you from data brokers, and we do not sell yours to anyone.
Why we use it
- To create and operate your account and to authenticate you.
- To do the thing you asked for: evaluate your conditions against market data and transmit orders to your broker.
- To send you operational messages - a trigger fired, an order was rejected, a security event on your account.
- To support you, investigate a fault, and answer a grievance.
- To keep the service secure, to detect abuse and fraud, and to enforce our terms.
- To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations, and to respond to a lawful request from a court or an authority.
- To improve the product, using aggregated and de-identified usage patterns.
Consent, and withdrawing it
We process your personal data on the consent you give when you register and when you connect a broker, and, where the law allows, for the legitimate uses the DPDP Act recognises - such as meeting a legal obligation.
You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to info@ai4trades.com. Withdrawal takes effect going forward: it does not undo processing already carried out lawfully, and where the data withdrawn is what the platform needs to work, the consequence is that we can no longer provide the service. Records we are required by law to retain will be retained for that period.
You may revoke the broker authorisation separately, at your broker or with us, without closing your Ai4Trades account.
Where it is kept
Your data is stored on infrastructure located in India. Where a provider we use processes data outside India, we do so only as permitted under the DPDP Act and under contractual protections.
How long we keep it
Account, configuration and order-transmission records are kept for as long as your account is open, and afterwards for the period we are required to keep them or need them to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim - which for financial records in India is generally at least eight years. Technical logs are kept for a shorter operational period. Contact-form enquiries are kept while we deal with them and for a reasonable period after.
When a retention period ends, data is deleted or irreversibly de-identified.
Security
Access to production data is restricted to the people who need it, credentials and broker tokens are stored encrypted, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access is logged. No system is perfectly secure; if a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as the DPDP Act requires.
Your rights
To exercise any of these, write to grievance@ai4trades.com from your registered email address. We will verify your identity before acting.
- Access: a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed.
- Correction: to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or completed, and out-of-date data updated.
- Erasure: to have data deleted where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for and we are not required to keep it.
- Grievance: to have a complaint about our handling of your data answered by us, and to take it to the Data Protection Board of India if our answer does not resolve it.
- Nomination: to nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapable of exercising them.
Children
The platform is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect the personal data of a child. If you believe a child has registered, tell us and we will delete the account.
