Who handles what

Ai4Trades is a technology platform. It is not a stock broker, research analyst, investment adviser or portfolio manager, it does not hold client funds or securities, and every order is placed through your own SEBI-registered broker.

That division decides where a complaint goes. If the problem is with the Ai4Trades software - a trigger that did not fire, an order the platform did not send, your account or your data - it is ours and it comes to us. If the problem is with the trade, the money or the securities - the fill you got, the charges, your margin, your payout, your holdings - it belongs with the broker who executed it and holds them, and that is also what the SEBI algo framework requires: the broker is responsible for grievances arising from algo orders placed through its API.

Raise it with us anyway if you are not sure. We would rather point you to the right desk than have a complaint sit unmade.

Step 1 — Ai4Trades

Anything to do with the Ai4Trades software: a trigger that did not fire, an order the platform did not send, your account, your data or a billing question.

We acknowledge within
2 working days, and aim to resolve within 15 working days

Step 2 — Your stock broker

Anything to do with the trade itself: execution, price, brokerage and charges, margins, funds, payout or your demat holdings. Your broker holds your money and your securities, and under the SEBI algo framework the broker is responsible for grievances arising from algo orders placed through its API.

Where to find it
The investor grievance page of your broker’s own website, which every SEBI-registered broker is required to publish

Step 3 — The stock exchange

If your broker does not resolve the complaint, take it to the exchange on which the trade was placed.

Step 4 — SEBI SCORES

Still unresolved, or no reply within the time the intermediary is allowed? Lodge it with SEBI on SCORES, where you can track it to closure. The entity complained against must file an Action Taken Report with SEBI.

Toll free

Hours
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on all days, except declared holidays

Step 5 — SMART ODR

A dispute with a market intermediary that SCORES has not settled can go to online conciliation and arbitration through SEBI’s SMART ODR portal.

What to include

  • Your registered email or mobile number with Ai4Trades, and your broker and client code if the complaint concerns a trade.
  • The date and, as closely as you can, the time of what happened - in IST.
  • The instrument, the order or trigger, and what you expected to happen against what did.
  • Screenshots or the order number from your broker, where you have them.

A note on what SCORES covers

SCORES is SEBI’s complaint system for entities registered with SEBI. Ai4Trades is not a SEBI-registered intermediary, so a complaint about our software is not a SCORES matter - it comes to us directly, and if we do not resolve it you retain every legal remedy otherwise available to you. A complaint about your broker, an exchange, a depository, a listed company or any other SEBI-registered entity is a SCORES matter, and the steps above are the route.

Trading in equity derivatives carries a high risk of loss. SEBI studies of individual traders in the equity futures and options segment have found that a large majority of them incurred net losses. Consider carefully whether such trading is appropriate for you.

Automation removes the delay between your decision and the order, not the risk in the decision. Triggers, trailing stop losses and profit-booking rules place orders on conditions you set; they cannot protect you from gaps, circuit limits, illiquidity, a rejected order, a broker or exchange outage, or a loss of connectivity.

Past performance and backtested or simulated results do not indicate or guarantee future returns. Paper trading results are produced without real capital at risk and will differ from live outcomes.
