Algo trading without coding — because the rule was never the hard part.
You already know where you would buy, where you would get out and where you would take something off. That is a strategy. Turning it into orders should not require Python, a VPS and a weekend. On Ai4Trades you draw it on the chart and it runs.
What "without coding" actually means here
It means the rule is expressed the way you already think about it: a price, a distance, a quantity, a condition. Entry here, stop there, target there, trail by this much, book this portion at that level. You set it on the chart or in a grid, and the platform places the orders.
There is no script to write, no strategy language to learn, no backtest harness to configure before anything can run, and no server of your own to keep alive.
The rules you can build
- Price triggers: do this when the last traded price crosses a level you set.
- Stop loss and target: attached to the position, visible on the chart, editable by dragging.
- Trailing stop loss: the stop follows price by a distance or a percentage you choose.
- Profit booking: partial exits at multiple levels, with the remainder left to run.
- Screener-driven alerts: build a screen, save it, and get a push notification when something matches.
- Bulk and spread orders, and Scalper Pro for fast two-sided work.
On your own broker, with your own money in your own account
Bring Your Broker: you connect the SEBI-registered broker you already trade with and keep your existing brokerage plan. Funds and securities stay in your own broking and demat account throughout — Ai4Trades never takes custody of your money, and it never recommends a broker to you.
Retail algorithmic trading in India runs under the framework SEBI set out in its circular of 4 February 2025, whose implementation timeline was extended in September 2025 and which applies to all stock brokers from 1 April 2026. Under it, algo orders reach the exchange through your broker, each algo is registered by the broker with the exchange, and the broker is responsible for grievances arising from algo orders. Ai4Trades is a technology platform, not a broker, an adviser or a research analyst.
Start on paper
Paper trading runs the same triggers, trails and profit-booking rules against live market data with simulated orders. It is the right place to find out that a trail distance is too tight or a target is never reached, and it costs nothing to find out there.
Paper results are produced without real capital at risk and will differ from live outcomes. They are not a forecast.
Honest about the limits
Automating an exit does not make it a good exit. A rule runs exactly as configured, including when the configuration is wrong, and it cannot protect you from a gap, a circuit, illiquidity, a broker rejection or an outage. Trading in equity derivatives in particular carries a high risk of loss. Read the risk disclosure before you fund anything.
Questions
Do I need to know programming?
No. Rules are set as prices, distances, quantities and conditions on the chart or in a grid. There is no script and no strategy language.
Is algo trading legal for retail investors in India?
Automated order placement is permitted within the framework SEBI set out for retail algorithmic trading, which requires orders to be placed through a SEBI-registered stock broker and each algo to be registered by that broker with the exchange. Ai4Trades transmits orders on your instruction through the broker account you connect.
Do I need my own server or a VPS?
No. The rules run on our infrastructure against live NSE and BSE data. You do not need to leave a machine or a browser tab running.
What does it cost to automate a strategy?
There is no platform fee for core usage and no per-order credit. You pay your broker their normal brokerage and the statutory charges.
Can I automate across more than one broker account?
Yes — multiple broker accounts can be configured into one Ai4Trades account.
